RENO, Nev. -- Sprague wrestler R.J. Pena defended his title and again earned all-America honors at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Friday, as the Olympians placed 19th at the national event.
The 145-pound junior defeated Justin Gonzalez of Northridge, Colorado in a major decision, 14-5 in the championship.
The top three placers in each weight division receive all-America honors.
Sprague 's Alex Kostenborder narrowly missed out on such honors, placing fourth in the 103-pound class. Kostenborder lost to Eric Reyes of Temecula Highschool of California.
Yulerik Sorensen (125), James Peurini (130), Tyson Giza (135) and Bryce Whitehead (140) all reached the quarterfinals for Sprague .
Easton High School of Pennsylvania won the tournament.
