Football: Sprague's Wilson sets a date to sign with Oregon State

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Sprague High School senior Tony Wilson is ahead of the curve again.
The linebacker/fullback verbally committed to play football at Oregon State months ago.
With nearly a month to go, he has decided when and where he will sign.
Wilson will sign Feb. 6 at 7 a.m. at the Sprague library. The event will likely not be open to the public.
He said he didn't know of any other Sprague football players who will sign at that time.
This season, Wilson was a first-team all-Central Valley Conference linebacker and second-team running back. He also was a second-team all-state linebacker.
As a junior, Wilson was a first-team all-league linebacker and running back, was the CVC's defensive player of the year and was honorable mention all-state.
He is the only football player from the Mid-Valley who has verbally committed thus far.
