Salem resident Willy Kostenborder won 152-pound E championship April 6 at the ASICS Kids/Cadet and Veteran Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Kostenborder won his two matches at the tournament, defeating Kevin Martin 2-0 and Merl Lensing 9-2.
Kostenborder, father of state champion Alex Kostenborder of Sprague, wrestled in high school at South Salem and placed third in the district meet for the Saxons in 1969.
