Two local athletes will be heading to Hawaii after winning the Oregon Youth Soccer State Cup with their respective teams.

Miguel Benavides, 18, and his brother Gabriel, 15, took first in the U18 and U15 age groups, respectively.

The Benavides brothers play for the Westside Metros club out of Beaverton, with Miguel playing for the Gunners, and Gabriel for the Remix.

The two attend Sprague High School, where they played varsity soccer last fall.

Miguel is a senior this year and plans to attend Grand Canyon University, a NCAA Div. II school, in Phoenix, Ariz.
