Girls soccer gets new coach

Kevin Plechl has been hired as the girls soccer coach at Sprague High School.
Plechl, a former all-state soccer player at North Salem, spent the past 11 years as a coach at Western Oregon University, including the past two as associate head coach and in 2001 as the interim head coach.
"Well, I've been contemplating moving to high school after the last few years," Plechl said. "I've been coaching collegiately the last 10 years now. The time commitment is big between coaching and recruiting.
